Classic Wedding at The Abbey Inn & Spa

I had honor of capturing the love story of Melanie and Sergio. These two lovebirds, who shared a unique journey from college friends to soulmates, celebrated their union at The Abbey Inn & Spa, overlooking the Hudson River on the most perfect autumn day.

Melanie and Sergio’s love story is a testament to the power of time and friendship. The couple first crossed paths during their freshman year in college, and as fate would have it, they quickly became friends. However, it was their senior year that marked the beginning of their romantic journey. Sergio took that pivotal step and proposed to Melanie on December 17, 2020, in Central Park, a moment made even more special by the presence of their beloved cute dog, Arthur. (Whose adorable face you definitely want to see below)!

Melanie truly radiated classic elegance in her breathtaking Jenny Yoo gown. Her bridesmaids complemented her grace in chic black dresses, setting a sophisticated tone for the day. Melanie’s bouquet was a vision of white dahlias, roses, ranunculus, and a touch of greenery, made by Laurelwood Designs.

Before the couple’s first look, Melanie also shared a heartfelt first look with her father. Their emotional exchange was truly touching.. It was a moment filled with joy and tears, a precious memory that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

During their first look, Melanie and Sergio took a moment to read their vows to each other. I love first looks for this very reason, for couples to share a quiet and intimate moment privately before they celebrate with their loved ones.

The ceremony space at the Abbey Inn & Spa couldn’t have been more perfect. The serene backdrop of the Hudson River added an ethereal touch to the occasion, with the sun slowly setting behind them.

As the festivities continued, their love shone through every smile, dance, and toast. Melanie and Sergio’s wedding was an embodiment of their love story – from college friends to life partners.
